The Ministry of Public Works is inviting sealed bids for the rehabilitation and construction of various roads in Region 4 of Guyana. With an extensive list of road projects, the initiative aims to enhance transportation infrastructure across the region.
Among the projects listed are the rehabilitation/construction of key roads such as the Unity/Vereeniging Main Access Dam, Victoria West Sideline, and Fire Station Street in Timehri. The estimates for these projects range from millions to hundreds of thousands of Guyana dollars.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedure specified in the Procurement Act 2003. Interested bidders can obtain further information, inspect the bidding documents, and purchase complete sets of bidding documents at the Ministry of Public Works from April 25, 2024.
Bidders are required to provide valid Certificates of Compliance from the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) and National Insurance Scheme (NIS). The bids will be valid for 180 days from the date of bid opening, which is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 09:00hrs.
The Ministry encourages bidders to ensure their submissions are compliant with the requirements and labeled correctly to avoid rejection.
