Joint Action Plan Cooperation Between Guyana and China Progresses

A courtesy call was on Friday paid to the Honorable Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation by the People’s Republic of China’s ambassador to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, Her Excellency Guo Haiyan.   

During their meeting Minister Todd and the Ambassador discussed the ongoing efforts to formalize the bilateral cooperation agenda between China and Guyana for 2024 during their meeting. 

The Joint Action Plan for Cooperation aims to promote friendly and equitable engagements in nine Key Areas between 2022 and 2024. 

These areas are political and security cooperation, Pragmatic Economic Cooperation, High-Quality Infrastructure Cooperation, Cooperation in Social, Cultural, and People-to-People Matters, Sustainable Development, International Affairs, and Subregional and Interregional Cooperation and Implementation.
