A 32-year-old Farmer appeared in court facing charges for sexual assault and threatening behavior.
Harrinarine Ramlall of Hope Lowlands, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on Tuesday and appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Cove and John Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
There, he was read the charge of sexual assault, to which he pleaded guilty. Subsequently, he was fined $35,000.
When the charge for threatening behavior was read, Ramlall pleaded not guilty. Bail was granted to the sum of $15,000, and the case was adjourned to April 16, 2024.
