With the establishment of Guyana and CARICOM’s first World Trade Center in Georgetown, Guyana global company owners are taking a keen interest in the economic hotspot. This WTC is the gateway for commerce with over 300 centers in over 100 nations, and it will have an immense effect on the country’s already “booming” economy.
During a media engagement with a local media entity at the recently concluded World Trade Center Global Business Forum 2024 in Bengaluru India, the Executive Director for Business Development of the World Trade Centre Association, Mr. Robin van Puyenbroeck, emphasized the impportance of the WTC Georgetown to the nation and the international community. He further claimed that joining the worldwide network of World Trade Centers will link the nation to more than 300 other Trade Centers globally
At this Global Business Forum which focused on empowering progress through innovation and collaboration, the World Trade Centre Georgetown signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOU’s) with World Trade Centers in Canada, Panama and India like Bengaluru, Mumbai. The signed Memoranda of Understanding offers an outline for partnership that encourages trade policy sharing, cooperative access to markets plans, training, trade and investment exchange, insight into markets among other things.
