The construction of King’s second Hotel and Residence is now underway and is expected to be finished in 2024, bolstering Guyana’s hospitality sector
To accommodate the increased number of tourists and investors, Guyana is expected to require approximately 2,000 more rooms by 2025. Hotels such as Four Points by Sheraton, Courtyard by Marriott, Pasha Global Hotel, Best Western Hotel, and King’s Hotel and Residences are expected to contribute to the country’s existing total room capacity.
By December 2024, the King’s Hotel and Residences, which are now under construction at the intersection of Waterloo and Quamina streets in Georgetown, should be operational. This nine-story luxury hotel will have 40 premium rooms, the Bistro Sky Bar and Steakhouse, and 25 one-bedroom suites with kitchens and living areas.
The hotel will provide its guests with a modern experience that will highlight Guyanese cuisine with well-known dishes such as Guyanese style Duck Curry
According to Harrinand Persaud, Chief Financial and Marketing Officer of King’s Jewellery World, the hotel would include 60 rooms, 25 of which will be furnished as residence suites and a rooftop bar that offers customers a nearly 360-degree view of the city
