Bechtel Corporation, an industry leader in engineering, construction, and project management is in talks with the Guyana Office for Investment as part of its exploration of possible substantial investment opportunities in Guyana.
Mr. Harry Pasteszek, Government and Stakeholder Manager of Bechtel Corporation, met with Dr. Peter Ramsaroop, Chief Investment Officer of Guyana and Agency Head of the Guyana Office for Investment recently.
Bechtel Corporation has an extensive portfolio of iconic projects which include the Hoover Dam and the Channel Tunnel. The company is also known for its innovation, quality, and safety.
During the meeting, Bechtel expressed a keen interest in undertaking major long-term ventures in Guyana.
These ventures include the establishment of an aluminum plant, the development of a deep-water port, and the construction of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility.
Should these projects materialise, they would help in bolstering Guyana’s economic infrastructure while also creating significant employment opportunities.
