143 Entrepreneurs from Santa Mission, Leguaan, and Wakenaam receive Business Grants

One hundred and forty-three small business owners from Santa Mission, Leguaan, and Wakenaam received their grants through the Small Business Bureau and Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, at the Uitvlugt Community Centre.

Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, the CEO of the Small Business Bureau, stated during the distribution exercise that the Bureau will “create a future where every small business has the chance to thrive and contribute to the economy of our region and nation.” He further stated that they intend to produce positive and measurable outcomes by offering expert advice, allocating resources effectively, encouraging broad networking, and preserving an environment that promotes peak performance.

Ibrahim highlighted several initiatives that the Small Business Bureau has undertaken to help small business to thrive. These include training courses on record-keeping and financial administration, small business management, developing business plans, and digitizing your company with apps like WhatsApp for Business and SBB Marketplace, which offers free product marketing.

This round of grant distributions adds to the 1,500 small business grants that have been distributed countrywide.
