A raid exercise was conducted at the Mahdia Landing /Arcade area around 16:50hrs on Wednesday, during which the Police ranks of Regional Division #8 found 85.1 grams of suspected marijuana.
Although several persons were searched during the raid exercise, nothing illegal was found.
However, one rank found a transparent plastic bag containing fifty Ziploc bags with suspected marijuana leaves, seeds, and stems behind an unoccupied concrete house.
Additionally, the Police found a plastic bag with suspected marijuana leaves, seeds, and stems in a piece of PVC pipe in an open area in the Arcade.
The narcotics were photographed, retrieved, and taken to the Police Station, where they were weighed and amounted to 85.1 grams in total.
