Danford Thomas, a 29-year-old Labourer of Pitman Street, Dartmouth, Essequibo Coast, appeared before Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam and was charged with the Offence of Rape.
The act was said to have occurred on November 28, 2023, and was committed against a female of Region 2, Essequibo Coast.
The charge was laid under the Sexual Offences Act, and he was not required to plea.
Bail was granted in the sum of $300,000, and the case was adjourned to February 2, 2024.
