On Friday, January 19th, the Guyana Tourism Authority hosted the first Tourism Business Licensing Clinic of 2024. The session was conducted at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre and sought to address the challenges involved in the licensing process.
It allowed participants to initiate registration/licensing or finalize the process once all documents were in order. This intervention fostered discussions with representatives from various agencies who are on-site to provide guidance and clarity on their respective policies, also allowing easy on-the-spot payments to these agencies.
According to the Guyana Tourism Authority, 282 tourism businesses and tour guides were officially licensed in 2023 as a result of these clinics.
All relevant parties are encouraged to visit future sessions, to have their tourism business registration and licensing concerns addressed promptly.
Subsequent sessions will be held in outlying areas within the coming weeks.
