Terrence David, a 23-year-old unemployed resident of Foulis, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on Tuesday and charged today by ranks of Enmore Police Station with the offence of Simple Larceny, contrary to section 164 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
The victim is Terrence Jackson, a 37-year-old Driver of Foulis, East Coast Demerara, which occurred between 2024/01/07 and 2024/01/08 at his residence. David is accused of stealing the following articles from Jackson: one Truck Starter valued at $110,000; one Angle Grinder valued at $15,000; one Jig Saw valued at $30,000; one Mountain Bike (Pedal Cycle) valued at $24,000; and a case of Glass Bottles valued at $3,000.
At about 11:00hrs today, the accused appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison. The case was adjourned to 2024/02/06.
