The sod was turned today for the construction of Unicomer Guyana Inc’s River Place Commercial Complex. The US $33 million commercial complex is being touted as the “single largest retail investment in Guyana’s history.”
Mario Siman, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Unicomer Group posited that the development symbolizes the company’s commitment to contributing to Guyana’s growth trajectory.
“The River Place Commercial Complex will not only elevate the retail sector but also create significant economic and employment opportunities for the community.”
The state-of-the-art complex, which is scheduled to be completed in 18 months, will include 44 retail spaces, 396 parking spaces, retail stores, a gym, and several restaurants.
Additionally, the facility will house both the Ashley Home Store and Courts Mega Store.
The company is exploring additional investment opportunities in Guyana.
