Ramlall Ramdihal a 38-year-old Field Supervisor from Bath Settlement was arrested for being in possession of 92 pound of suspected cannabis last evening
According to Police, intelligence led them to the Now or Never Public Road Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara where they observed and intercepted a parked car with the license plate PVV 1495 that was facing west at the time
The police then questioned the only occupant and registered owner of the car on his reason for being there and then proceeded to conduct a search of the vehicle in the presence of the occupant who was identified as Ramlall Ramdihall.
The search revealed three “bulky white salt bags in the car trunk.” The bags contained eight, four and three parcels respectively. After his arrest, Ramdihal revealed “that he was told to pick up the three bags at No. 30 village and take them to Georgetown where he will be paid.
The parcels containing the suspected cannibis were weighed at the Mahaicony Police Station and “amouted to 92 lbs or 41.768 kgs
Ramdihall remains in police custody and has not disclosed the identity of the person who gave him the bags.
